This 1/24 scale earth mover was featured in
.
The model appears to have been a wooden body built on top of a
motorized toy tractor.
The same toy tractor was also used to make the
Mole,
Firefly,
and a number of other tracked vehicles used in
Thunderbirds.
The earth moving blade and support framework looks like it was made of metal. This model was slightly reworked and repainted to become the lunar nuclear device transporter featured in the
Captain Scarlet
episode
.
These yellow fire and police trucks were featured in
.
Both trucks were basically wood forms which were detailed with various toy and kit parts.
The fire truck appears to have been fitted with a ladder which came from a toy and rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft. The yellow fire truck model was reworked and later appeared in
and
.
A tiny fire truck similar to this one was included in one of Imai's Thunderbird 2 pod vehicle accessory kits.
The police truck was fitted with tiny hidden wheels to give the appearance of a ground effect vehicle. This same model also appeared in
The Mars Space Probe rocket transport truck was featured in
Day of Disaster. This model was a wooden shape detailed with kit parts (there is a B-58 Hustler jet engine pod mounted next to the driver's cab) and other bits mounted on real rubber flying model aircraft wheels. This model was redressed from the yellow fire truck featured in
City of Fire.
This half track truck was featured in
.
It had a wooden body which was detailed with kit parts and other bits, rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft, and was mounted on the same motorized toy tractor underbody used in the Mole, Firefly, and many other tracked vehicles used in
Thunderbirds. The same model was repainted blue for use in
.
This half track truck was featured in
Desperate Intruder. It had a wooden body which was detailed with kit parts and other bits, rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft, and was mounted on the same motorized toy tractor underbody used in the Mole, Firefly, and many other tracked vehicles used in
Thunderbirds. This same model was also used in
The Uninvited.

and
.
It had a wooden body which was detailed with kit parts and other bits and rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft. The same model was also used in
Path of Destruction. This model was an untracked rework of the half-track truck featured in
The Uninvited and
Desperate Intruder.
This is Ned Cook's television camera van from
Terror in New York City. The 1/24 scale model had a wooden body and rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft. The driver and TV camera operator figures were sculpted from plasticine. This model was also used as the Hood's vehicle in
and was later reworked into the
Spectrum
radar vans
seen in the
Captain Scarlet episode
.
Note, those oil wells in the background look like they used parts from a number of Airfix OO scale model railroad structure kits including the base from the Mobile Crane.
This is The Hood's North Pole laundry van from
Edge of Impact. The 1/24 scale model had a wooden body and rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft. This model was also used as Ned Cook's TV camera van in
Atlantic Inferno and was later reworked into the Spectrum radar vans seen in the
Captain Scarlet episode
Manhunt. Note the unmodified 1/24 scale car kits parked in the parking lot.
These red fire trucks were featured in
City of Fire and a couple of other
Thunderbirds episodes. They appear to have been wooden shapes which were detailed with kit parts, toy parts, and various other bits. Note how some of the fire trucks seen here have been fitted with real water jets.
The
seen here rushing past the Sunprobe rocket gantry in
were actually
a Matchbox product.
These Matchbox trailers and their tractor were featured in a number of
Thunderbirds episodes including
and

That white car looks like a Matchbox or Corgi Citroen. [It actually is a Matchbox model of the Citroen 'Safari', a 'station' or 'break' version of their DS model. – JLN2nd]
The Gray & Houseman Construction Company explosives truck was featured in
.
The 1/24 scale truck was a wooden frame built on top of a motorized toy tractor. The same toy tractor was also used in the Mole, Firefly, and other
Thunderbirds tracked vehicles. A different toy tractor provided tracks for the front bogie. Many plastic kit parts were used in the construction of this model, including an automobile kit (the back half of the kit it appears) which provided the cab. The 20 inch model started off as the International Rescue radio transmitter truck from
Sunprobe and also appeared as an International Rescue fire truck in
Security Hazard.
This is The Hood's submarine transport truck from
Desperate Intruder. The 1/24 scale model had a wooden body detailed with kit parts and other bits and rubber wheels made for flying model aircraft. This model featured a working cargo section which opened to release a submarine.
These 1/24 scale airport rescue vehicles were featured in
Trapped in the Sky and a number of other episodes of
Thunderbirds. The two ambulances look like they were based upon some kind of plastic car kits. The fire trucks look like they were made from wood shapes detailed with kit parts and other bits.
The Crablogger control vehicle was featured in
Path of Destruction. It appears to have been made of wood, with kit parts and other bits added for detail, mounted on rubber flying model aircraft wheels. This 1/24 scale model was reworked and reused as an ambulance in the
Captain Scarlet episodes
and
.
