earth's most important defensive organisation is the World Space Patrol which covers the Galaxy to its outermost borders. The wsp is run from Space City, located on an island in the Pacific, a conglomerate of spaceship launching ramps, control stations and asteroid tracking stations under the supervision of Commander Zero. He has the largest and fastest fleet of spaceships at his disposal which can penetrate into the farthest reaches of the Galaxy, guaranteeing the safety of Earth at all times.
The Patrol's pride is its XL class patrol ships, one of which, the XL5, is commandeered by Steve Zodiac who is often accompanied by his charming assistant Venus. Apart from fulfilling its standard patrol duties, the XL5 is deployed in almost every emergency. It is permanently stationed at Space City.
